Memphis TN Mortgage
After finding some information about Memphis TN mortgage and how they work I looked up a phone number for a broker. After talking with a Memphis TN mortgage broker this morning, I called my husband and told him I was making reservations for us to fly to Memphis this weekend to look for a new home. When we finally visited Graceland ten years ago I told my husband then that I wanted to move there someday and he just got a promotion with the music company he has worked for these past fifteen years in Nashville. The promotion meant that we would be moving to Memphis, my dream was going to come true. He thought I was hurrying things along a bit but he agreed to go because he knew how much this meant to me. I have been an Elvis fanatic since I was 13 years old when I first heard him singing Love Me Tender while driving with my family in our green Hudson Hornet car. At that time I lived in San Diego with my family but I was actually born in Tennessee.
I had told the Memphis TN mortgage broker on the telephone that I wanted to live somewhere near the Mississippi River and he said he’d have some properties for us to look at when we got there. We arrived late Friday night, went to our hotel room and ordered room service for dinner and discussed Memphis TN mortgage. The next morning before meeting with the mortgage broker we drove by Graceland just so I could get a look at it. The mortgage broker took us to the properties he had lined up for us to view and it took most of the day before we found the one we liked. It was north of downtown Memphis and close to the river. It was an older colonial home with pillars and a circular driveway. We were very impressed as we drove up and more impressed when we went inside. It was typical old money Memphis and just what we wanted. It was furnished with gorgeous furniture that came with the house if we wanted it and we did.
After viewing the property, we told the mortgage broker to make an offer with a $40,000 down payment and we had already discussed with him that we wanted a Memphis TN mortgage balloon/reset mortgage to give us a few years to decide if my husband was going to be staying in Memphis indefinitely. We knew that if his promotion did work out we would want to purchase the home at the end of the first term of the Memphis TN mortgage loan. The mortgage broker said the mortgage rates were low in Memphis now so he would be able to get us a good deal on the home. The only problem was that it wouldn’t be ready to occupy for at least two months. That meant that we would have to stay in the company’s apartment for awhile. That would also give us time to sell our home in Nashville which might be harder to do since it was not a seller’s market at this time. We called our accountant and had him provide the Memphis TN mortgage broker with our financial portfolio and then we were on our way back to Nashville.
