I just got off the phone after speaking with my friend about Charleston SC mortgage. I told her about our desire to purchase a small three-bedroom condo in the southern portion of Charleston. My husband of two years, Frank, and I have decided that since we don’t plan on starting a family for a long time, we still wanted a home of our own. He had started his dental business over seven years ago and I began working in his office as his Office Manager at the same time. We have been successful as a team in building up his clientele and we were tired of living in an apartment. We decided on a condo because neither one of us like to do yard work. We just wanted a nice place with a view of the city lights at night. We also wanted to be near the ocean because we loved going to the beach in the summer. We met with the mortgage broker yesterday and gave him all of the financial paperwork that he had requested we get from our accountant. We were pretty clueless regarding mortgages and how they work. We were expecting the broker to explain all that to us and lead us in the right direction, and that is exactly what he did. We decided to look at some properties and find what we wanted to purchase before we decided on what type of mortgage loan we wanted. We looked at quite a few nice condos but we finally found one that overlooked the city and we made an offer. Then we went back to the broker’s office to discuss the Charleston SC mortgage.

The mortgage broker said he could get us very reasonable Charleston SC mortgage rates at this time. He had all the paperwork that he needed to present to the Charleston SC mortgage company. We had decided to try for an adjustable-rate mortgage loan because of the lower Charleston SC mortgage rate and the lower monthly payment and the fact that the dental business was growing so fast that we felt by the time the second term came around, we would be in a position to make the larger Charleston SC mortgage monthly payments. The broker had explained how the indexes and margins and rate caps worked so we understood what could happen after the end of the first term. We also were aware that if we decided we didn’t like condo-living we could sell it before the end of the first term and we would not be affected by the increase in the interest rate. By that time we would probably want to purchase a home through Charleston SC mortgage and start a family so the timing would be perfect.
